Mort goes it alone at Affinity Property
Surveyor Neil Mort has launched his own property consultancy and says he believes there is a market for his services on a project basis.
Mort left Praxis Real Estate Management in mid-March having only joined the firm in August last year from BAM Properties.
He said that he left on amicable terms because both he and Praxis felt that "things weren't quite working" and also because he was keen to establish a consultancy of his own.
Affinity Propery Consultancy is based in Centurion House, Deansgate, Manchester.
Mort says that he plans to offer "flexible and cost effective" solutions for development projects.
He also plans to work on behalf of the landlords of property projects that have stalled and need a new purpose.
Mort, 37, said: "The primary aim is to provide a quality service to a select client base that will foster strong working partnerships.
"A client's time and resources are at a premium so the ability to bring in the necessary skills and expertise to drive a specific project forward not only makes economic sense but is highly effective.
"Affinity's strengths are its flexible approach and ability to provide focused and intelligent advice."
Mort has 16 years' experience working within the north west and Yorkshire commercial property markets, both as development manager for BAM Properties and as an office and industrial agent for leading surveying practices in Manchester.
