Morecrofts to relocate to Cotton Yard

Law firm Morecrofts Solicitors has taken 15,000 sq ft at Bruntwood's Cotton Yard in Liverpool for its new head office.

The development is part of the Cotton Exchange on Old Hall Street, which will undergo further refurbishment in the coming months to update the offices and provide a private courtyard for tenants.

The grade two-listed space was formerly occupied by Liverpool's Register Office.

Morecrofts will relocate from its current head office in Tithebarn Street in the autumn.

Alison Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts, said: "Cotton Yard puts us at the epicentre of Liverpool's commercial district and, as the firm continues to grow, there's no question that this is where we need to be."

Colin Forshaw, head of property at Bruntwood, said: "Morecrofts is synonymous with Liverpool's professional community, one of the city's oldest independent law firms and simply a perfect customer for this new-look space. We're pleased to see Morecrofts join an ever-expanding cluster of thriving businesses at Cotton Exchange and we can't wait for them to make Cotton Yard their new home."
