Moffat joins board of Nikal
Manchester-based developer Nikal has promoted John Moffat from associate director to development director.
Moffat joined Nikal after graduating from Reading University in 2006. He will work across Nikal's portfolio of developments that include Hive in Birmingham, Soapworks in Salford, and West Quay Marina in Poole, Dorset.
Nick Payne, managing director of Nikal, said: "John's background in economics provides an advantageous and fresh view on the industry. The days of relying on yesterday's yields and one page development appraisals are gone, and John has elevated our development strategy by working on each of our projects having regard to economic outlook and highly detailed financial modelling. This has directly benefitted us by maximising levels of confidence in Nikal by our bankers and financial partners.

Moffat will head up the roll-out of Nikal's MyBuro office concept, which allows owner-occupiers or investors to purchase an office suite in a larger development.
