Moda recruits investment director from CBRE
Guy Hurwood will use his new post at the build-to-rent developer to both find and secure funding and investment opportunities.
Hurwood previously worked for CBRE as a senior director with the capital markets team. While working there, he advised on multiple transactions worth more than £2bn.
Prior to then, Hurwood worked for PwC and JLL. Hurwood joined Manchester-based Moda Living earlier this month.
Moda Living chief executive Johnny Caddick said: “Guy’s appointment will help us maintain our leading position in the UK living sector as we continue to create sustainable neighbourhoods, where our in-house technology platforms and health and wellbeing are intrinsic.”
Hurwood said he was excited to join Moda and praised the company’s work. “The neighbourhoods they are creating across the UK set the bar for rental living,” he said. “I look forward to making my mark and being a part of the change they are driving in the way people live.”
Moda is quickly growing across the country, with a pipeline of more than 7,500 homes. Current projects have a gross development value of £2.5bn.
