Developer and PRS operator Moda has made two hires to support the management of its Angel Gardens scheme in Manchester.
Kate Barnes joins from Urban Bubble, to act as general manager for the 466-apartment Angel Gardens, which is set to open in 2019. She will be responsible for the operations set-up and recruitment of a further 14 members of staff to deliver what Moda describes as a hotel-style service within the 35-storey tower.
In another addition to the central operations team, Sarah Flint, previously asset management director at real estate consultancy Liv, has joined Moda as head of asset management, initially focusing on Angel Gardens before covering the wider portfolio.
Angel Gardens is one of the largest build-to-rent projects outside of London, and is backed by an £85m senior debt facility from pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank.
The £154m development is on the corner of Miller Street and Rochdale Road, and is due to complete over two phases this summer and autumn.
Caddick Construction is the main contractor, taking over after the collapse of Carillion.
Dan Brooks, director at Moda Living said: “Central to the Moda offer is an unrivalled living experience, which our operations team will be crucial in creating. Both Kate and Sarah will play leading roles in helping deliver premium customer service round the clock and raising the bar for renting in Manchester.”
