MIPIM Cannes moved to June 2021

Next year’s edition of the annual property expo in the South of France has been postponed to 7-10 June, from 16-19 March, in anticipation of ongoing travel restrictions.

‘’Following discussions with clients about travel restrictions and quarantine and having looked at the availability of the Palais des Festivals MIPIM venue next year, we have decided to hold the event in June,’’ said MIPIM director Ronan Vaspart in a statement.

‘’Some 70% of our exhibitors have already decided to confirm their participation for 2021. We look forward to welcoming the international real estate community back to Cannes.’’

The event’s organiser, Reed MIDEM, was forced to reschedule this year’s MIPIM Cannes, which was scheduled to run on 10-13 March just as the global health crisis was approaching its peak. The conference was postponed until June and then combined with other related Reed MIDEM events in Paris.

Reed MIDEM had expected around 27,000 people to attend the show this year.

Last month, city promotional agency Marketing Manchester issued refunds to members of the delegation it was due to take to the expo in March, equating to around 40% of the cost of each of their packages.
