MIPIM 2008: Johnson stops traffic at Manchester stand

Nick Johnson, deputy chief executive of Urban Splash, turned heads when he cycled up to the Manchester stand fresh from his 932-mile sponsored cycle relay from London to Cannes.

Johnson, whose trip took five days, was one of hundreds of cycling property people to make it to the event on two wheels in the name of various charities.

He was joined by Jonathan Falkingham, group chief executive of Urban Splash, who set off from Barcelona, 520 miles away. Both said they are trying to offset everyone else's carbon footprints by cycling to MIPIM for charity.

Urban Splash has taken a delegation of eleven to the annual property convention on the Cote d'Azur.
