Millson adds to management team

Building surveying and project management firm Millson Associates has acquired Bury-based FPS Consult, with FPS colleagues Guy Freeman and Rob Davies joining Millson Associates in Manchester.

FPS Consult clients included Peel Group and LA Fitness among others. Freeman, managing director of FPS, becomes associate operations director at Millson. He has been tasked with growing the business and securing new projects in residential and commercial sectors as well as sourcing new opportunities in building surveying and expert witness work.

Freeman commented on his appointment: “This is just the kind of new challenge I relish. Millson is an exciting business and I am really looking forward to working with the talented MA team taking us to the next level – bringing in new people and projects.”

Davies joined as building surveyor. Millson now employs 20 people across London and Manchester.

Meanwhile, Millson has promoted Ryan Brookes to director to head the residential masterplanning and design team. He joined the company 11 years ago.

Philip Millson, managing director, said: “Millson is very much looking forward to continued growth in 2016 building upon the longstanding relationships we have and in unveiling some of the exciting projects we have in the pipeline. This work will create new jobs in Manchester and London. We are particularly excited about the new leisure sector projects we are attracting – something which comes from our involvement in the high profile and highly successful, Albert’s Schloss venue in Manchester city centre, which has attracted excellent feedback.”

Millson provides architectural, interior design, project management and building surveying services with specialisms in building information modelling.
