Millhouse buys The Hives

Segro has disposed of the industrial development The Hives on Mosley Road Industrial Estate within Trafford Park.

Built in the early twentieth century on the site of a former railway platform, The Hives comprises 104,000 sq ft, with units ranging from 2,000 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft.

Northumberland-based Millhouse Developments has acquired the site for an undisclosed sum.

David Rees, regional director for the north at Segro, said: "Since acquiring part of Trafford Park from Brixton in 2009, we have worked to improve and redevelop key areas of the portfolio, in order to enhance the park for existing and potential customers. The Hives falls outside of SEGRO's core holdings and the sale of the site is in line with SEGRO's long term strategy for its assets."

King Sturge advised Segro on the deal and Millhouse Developments was unrepresented.
