The Edinburgh-based privately owned housebuilder has appointed Mark Knight in a new role as operations director for its North West region.
Knight has over 20 years experience in the property industry, working for small to medium sized house builders.
He joins the team based in Newton le Willows, Cheshire, from Miller Homes' Yorkshire region, where he held the position of commercial director since 2007.
Tony Johnson, commercial director for Miller Homes in the North East, has been promoted to look after the Yorkshire region as well as continue his existing role.
Miller Homes said the North West region is an important focus for the company and Knight has been appointed to drive the business even further forward in this area.
Miller Homes has over 15 current developments across the North West. These include apartment complexes at The Rock in Bury, which, said Miller Homes, in the first two weeks of opening apartment sales topped over £2m and sales continue to be buoyant.
Miller Homes is also investing in a £17m regeneration scheme, known as Infusion, that will see 64 Victorian homes renovated and converted for sale in the Bowes Street area of Moss Side in south Manchester along with updated and improvement of a further 79 properties.
Knight said: "I am looking forward to building on the continued success of Miller Homes' North West region, in what are still challenging times for the house building industry, so that when market conditions improve we are in an even better position to capitalise on the opportunities available. The size and potential of the North West region of the company attracted me to my new role. Since joining, I have been extremely impressed by the quality of the team and knowledge of my colleagues, along with the high standard and quality of the homes we build in the region."
