Mill site comes to market for housing

Yorkshire-based developer Eshton has put a six-acre site with planning consent for 134 homes up for sale in Nelson, Lancashire.

The former Reedyford Mill site is currently being cleared and will be ready by mid-October. The joint marketing agents are Dove Haigh Phillips and Trevor Dawson.

Mike Dove, partner at Dove Haigh Phillips, said: "This development will regenerate an important part of an historic mill town. It is superbly located close to the M65 motorway and the Leeds-Liverpool canal and will provide much-needed modern family homes for the Nelson area."

He added: "Crucially this is a viable development with huge potential. Pendle Council should be congratulated on granting permission for a development where the emphasis is on both quality and deliverability. It is also important to note that the two access points mean that the development can be split into two phases."
