Middlewich retail plans approved

Congleton council has approved plans for a 48,000 sq ft retail development on the edge of Middlewich town centre by Huddersfield-based John Radcliffe & Sons.

The retail terrace on the site of the current Booseys Garden Centre on Chester Road will include a 15,000 sq ft food store.

Discussions between John Radcliffe and the council are ongoing over pedestrian links and opening hours.

Maze Planning Solutions advised John Radcliffe.
