Merepark commissions Central Village construction work

Cheshire-based developer Merepark is procuring £5.4m of construction work for the next stage of the redevelopment of the Lewis's department store building into a mixed-use element of its Central Village project in Liverpool.

The developer has published ten invitations to tender for materials and services from brick-laying to floors and plastering.

The Lewis's building on Renshaw Street, opposite the Adelphi Hotel, will become a hotel, offices and retail space.

The refurbishment and remodeling of the Lewis's building will create 80,000 sq ft of offices on the upper floors. There will be a 129-bed Adagio hotel and Prezzo, Handmade Burger Company, Chiquito and Frankie & Benny's restaurants above ground floor retail.
