Merebank conversion gets green light

Liverpool City Council has approved plans to refurbish the 15-storey Merebank Tower block of flats in Sefton Park.

Fortis Developments was appointed earlier this year by the Homes & Communities Agency to renovate the tower on Greenbank Drive in the Sefton Park conservation area. The block has been largely vacant for several years and will now be renovated into a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

Liverpool-based architect Falconer Chester Hall designed the conversion, which is expected to take 12 months, with units offered for sale or rent.
