MEPC refreshes Birchwood’s Centre

Business park developer MEPC is to spend £1.2m at Birchwood Park, Warrington, creating new conference and events facilities.

An existing building in the middle of the park, called The Centre, is being refurbished to install seven meeting rooms, a 168-seat theatre and refurbished café and restaurant.

There will also be a 'more discreet meeting place, The Hub, [which] will provide a business lounge with waitress service and acoustic booths for more confidential chats.'

Jonathan Walsh, managing director of MEPC Birchwood Park, said: "The Centre plays a vital role in the life of the Park and for the wider Birchwood business and residential communities. It is a very strong part of our business proposition in terms of attracting new occupiers and retaining our existing customers.

The 123-acre Birchwood Park estate is home to 150 companies. Work is expected to complete in September.
