McFarlane replaces Walker at Colliers

Colliers International has announced the appointment of Andrew McFarlane as its new head of Manchester office, replacing Mike Walker.

McFarlane will be responsible for the Manchester office from Thursday, alongside his existing role as the managing director of Colliers' co-investment operation, Deanwater Estates.

Walker joined rivals CB Richard Ellis as senior director and head of the Manchester industrial agency team.

Tony Horrell, chief executive at Colliers International, said: "After considering our requirement for a new Manchester head, we decided that all of the leadership skills and business knowledge required was already within the company in Andrew.

"Andrew is incredibly experienced. He's been a senior director in our Manchester office since we acquired Gooch Webster in 2003, and has over 25 years industry experience with Hillier Parker and Threadneedle, so I'm confident we'll be in very safe hands."

McFarlane added: "I am pleased to be responsible for the leadership of the Colliers International business in Manchester. We have a strong team in Manchester, and I am looking forward to working with my colleagues here to strengthen the business and augment our offer in the North West region."
