May joins Hive

Hive Land & Planning has recruited Sarah May to the role of associate director within its development consultancy team.

The Manchester firm, founded in 2018, has also promoted Kieran Blaydes to planner.

May is a chartered surveyor with more than 10 years’ experience advising clients on the delivery of complex residential sites, securing public sector funding for infrastructure and housing projects and delivering town centre regeneration. Her prior experience includes roles with Avison Young, Barratt Partnerships and Homes England.

At Hive, she is currently active on a range of instructions. including advising clients on the delivery of several Garden Villages, securing Government funding with ongoing brownfield land funding bids and facilitating town centre regeneration initiatives, including Preston’s city living strategy.
