Mawdsley leaves D Morgan for Altrad NSG

Business development manager Paul Mawdsley has left civil engineer D Morgan to take up the post of group development director at Deeside-based scaffolding supplier Altrad NSG.

Altrad NSG employs 300 people and turned over £18m in the year to September 2012, producing a £1m pre-tax profit.

The firm is one of 70 subsidiaries around the world owned by highly acquisitive French parent group Altrad SA. Altrad acquired NSG in June 2011 for an undisclosed sum, one of 20 acquisitions in the past two years. Last week Altrad NSG said it had bought Bury rival Spectra Scaffolding.

Mawdsley was replaced at D Morgan by Chris Snow, who moved from Oldham-based construction firm Robertson. Snow spent 12 years at Gleeson before moving to Ocon and then Robertson.

D Morgan, based in Ellesmere Port, specialises in site clearance, demolition, remediation, bulk earthworks, infrastructure, and road construction.
