Matthews & Goodman recruits from CBRE

The property adviser has appointed Chris Weights to head its valuation services team at its Liverpool office.

Weights joins the company after spending seven years in the Liverpool valuation team of CB Richard Ellis.

Last month, Matthews & Goodman and chartered surveyors and town planners Edmund Kirby announced they had merged to create a combined firm with offices in Liverpool, Manchester and London.

Weights will focus on valuation work for loan security and loan review purposes in all sectors including residential, commercial and development property.

The clients he will be working with include Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander, Aldermore Bank, HSBC, Bank of Ireland and Lloyds Banking Group.

Matthews & Goodman said Weights will also link with the national business to provide local experience to national clients.

Matthews & Goodman added he has also acted for borrower clients including Merepark, Dean Property Group, Worthingtons, Hollinswood Homes, Morley Estates, Landmarq LLP, Maghull Developments and Matrix Securities.
