Consultancy Mason Owen will be relocating its 60-strong Liverpool team to 20 Chapel Street, sharing the seventh floor with subsidiary Mason Owen Financial Services which took space in the building earlier this year.
MOFS announced in October that the company would be moving 23 staff from Gladstone House into Canmoor’s block in the commercial business district. Mason Owen remained in Gladstone, however will be vacating the office and putting it up for sale by February 2019.
At 20 Chapel Street, MOFS occupies 4,200 sq ft, and Mason Owen has taken 5,800 sq ft, giving them the whole floor.
Simon Bland, managing director of Mason Owen said: “The board recognise a need for change. Gladstone House is full of architectural charm, but just not equipped for the way we envisage our firm in the next fifty years.
“Our business is faster and more dynamic than ever before. We need offices that reflect this trend – with an open plan space to encourage the vigorous communication that is essential to our teams and befits the forward-looking ambitions we have for MOP.”
Mason Owen has advised on several major transactions in Liverpool this year, such as Legal & General’s £125m purchase of the India Buildings, the sale of 101 Old Hall Street to Henderson and the letting of the BHS building to H&M as part of the Lord Street overhaul for Vabeld.
Other tenants at 20 Chapel Street include LFC, Barclays and Ernst & Young. The agents are Worthington Owen and CBRE.
