Marketing Lancashire has appointed Maria Moriarty Eames as head of partnerships. Blackburn-born Moriarty Eames was previously brand and marketing director at Total Foodservice Solutions.
She will drive commercial strategy, develop corporate partnerships and lead the partnerships team, which is responsible for growing Marketing Lancashire’s business relationships.
Ruth Connor, chief executive of Marketing Lancashire, said: “Maria’s extensive experience and skills working in a variety of sectors will be invaluable as we build on our success to date. Marketing Lancashire will place the region front and centre on a regional, national and international stage: an outstanding visitor destination; a catalyst for innovation and enterprise; a compelling location for expanding global businesses working with partners and stakeholders in the public and private sectors to build a world class future for Lancashire.

Commenting on her new role, Moriarty Eames said: “Having worked in partnership with Marketing Lancashire as a member in different organisations over many years, I am thrilled to have joined the team as head of partnerships. Membership has grown by 15% in the past year, predominantly from leisure businesses and suppliers and a new corporate partnership scheme will be launched in the autumn. Digitally, the organisation continues to break previous levels with visitlancashire.com attracting a record 6m page views.
