March sale of retailer’s assets

The assets of Noble Jewellery, the oldest family-owned jeweller in Warrington, are being sold by property consultant Sanderson Weatherall after the 42-year-old business fell victim to a downturn in trade.

The closing down sale of Noble's Jewellery stock is being staged and managed by the Manchester office of Sanderson Weatherall from Thursday 1 March at the business's former premises at 2 Bridge Street, Warrington.

Noble Jewellery traded from two sites in Warrington as Noble Jewellery and Court Jewellers respectively. The business went into liquidation in late January 2012 with the loss of 13 jobs.

Neil Simpson, partner, machinery and business assets at the Manchester office of Sanderson Weatherall, said: "Noble Jewellery was a well respected member of the Warrington corporate community for almost half a century and its liquidation was an unfortunate consequence of declining trade because of the poor economic climate.

"This is a genuine closing down sale with all goods available for half price or less and we expect a great deal of interest to be generated."

Sanderson Weatherall was appointed by the liquidator of Noble Jewellery, Ian Williamson of Campbell, Crossley & Davis of Blackpool.
