Maple Grove sells on Deansgate

Recruitment consultant BCL Legal has purchased from Maple Grove the long leasehold interest of the second and third floors of Lancaster Buildings at 77 Deansgate in Manchester, totalling 13,448 sq ft.

The legal recruitment consultancy will be occupying 7,308 sq ft on the third floor and has appointed OBI Property to sublet the second floor.

OBI advised on the acquisition and the interior design and project management of the fit-out. Legal advice was provided by Thomas Pearson of JMW Solicitors.

BCL Legal relocated from the Lexicon building to its new Manchester headquarters where it employs 45 people. The firm also has offices in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Reading.

Earlier this year, OBI appointed Adrian Sharpe, as non-executive chairman. Among Sharpe's other positions he is North West chairman of executive coaching group Vistage International, which advises chief executives from companies including BCL Legal.
