Maple Grove and Kier let a further 30,000 sq ft at Artis Park

The joint venture partners have secured two deals at the Winsford industrial complex, signing up Gemco and City Plumbing Supplies.

Garage equipment supplier Gemco has taken 26,620 sq ft on a 15-year lease and City Plumbing has agreed a 10-year lease on a 4,000 sq ft unit.

Other occupiers at the complex include British Red Cross, which took two units totalling 27,000 sq ft last summer, as well as Screwfix and Toolstation.

The 68,000 sq ft first phase of Artis Park completed in 2021.

HP Construction is nearing the completion of phase two which, when complete later this month, will comprise 53,000 sq ft of employment space across three units. The Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership provided a £5m loan for the construction of phase two.

In total, Artis Park comprises 122,000 sq ft of accommodation.

Gerald Eve and Legat Owen are the retained agents at Artis Park. Gemco represented themselves and Mason Owen represented City Plumbing.

Talks over other potential deals are ongoing, according to Nik Puttnam, senior development manager at Maple Grove.

“We’re really encouraged by the quality of occupier enquiries we are receiving,” he said. “Gemco and City Plumbing are excellent additions to our tenant line-up and we have agreed heads of terms with other occupiers which, if successful, will take the occupancy rate up to 83%.”
