Mansion swaps city centre for Cheadle Royal

Muse Developments has let a 10,000 sq ft office building at Cheadle Royal Business Park in Stockport to thriving student accommodation manager, Mansion Group.

Mansion Group operates a portfolio of 1,300 beds and will relocate its head office from Bruntwood's Lowry House in Manchester city centre to the South Manchester business park.

This is the third deal to be agreed on the latest phase of Oakfield at Cheadle Royal, which provides stand-alone Grade A space. Mansion joins accountancy firm Clarke Nicklin and international hearing care company, Ascent Investments.

Cyril Ogunmakin, director of asset management at Mansion Group, said: "We've achieved considerable success over the past 12 months, carving an image in the sector for providing a top quality student living experience.

"As a result of an excellent performance and growth – and with plans to acquire further property within the top 30 university cities – we needed significantly more space to support our business development."

Oakfield 3 comprises five self-contained office buildings, ranging in size from 6,500 to 10,000 sq ft. The two-storey pavilion buildings – designed by Bennett Architects – are available for purchase or lease.

Mansion Group represented itself. DTZ, LSH and Eversheds acted for Muse Developments.
