Malcolm Hollis recruits graduate

Independent building surveying consultancy Malcolm Hollis has appointed a new graduate building surveyor at its Manchester office.

Michael Beatty joins from Sheffield Hallam University, where he obtained a 1st class honours degree in building surveying.

Jamie O'Brien, partner at Malcolm Hollis and head of the firm's Manchester office, said: "Michael joins the firm at what is an exciting time for the Manchester property market, with the first signs of new development and investment activity starting to appear."

O'Brien added that Beatty will initially be assisting the senior members of the Manchester office on a variety of new instructions.

Malcolm Hollis' Manchester office is based in The Lexicon building at 10-12 Mount Street in the city centre.

Malcolm Hollis has offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Newcastle, and in Hertfordshire.

The company recruited one graduate in 2010, compared to four in total so far this year, who was based in London.

There are nine staff at its Manchester office.
