Makin strengthens building advice offer

Manchester-based Makin Architecture has hired Deborah Brown as senior chartered building surveyor from Watts Group LLP.

Deborah Brown Brown returned to the company where her career started out fresh from school 20 years ago, when she worked at Makin as an administrative assistant.

Andrew Burns, managing director of Makin Architecture, said " With Deborah's expertise in landlord and tenant issues, party wall matters, and general surveying, we can now offer our clients a complete property service which includes our existing architectural services, interior design services and now general building surveying."

Makin now intends to offer itself as a full service agency for landlord and tenant work.

Ray Makin, chairman, said: "It's great to welcome Deborah back into the practice again. It was always clear that Deborah had a great deal of talent and ambition and that she would turn her dreams into reality. I am so pleased that she is going to be able to exercise that talent with Makin Architecture."
