Magenta sets out 88-unit plan

Magenta Living has set out details of how it will spend £1.32m allocated as part of the £56m the Homes & Communities Agency received for the North West earlier this month.

Magenta, formerly called Wirral Partnership Homes, will build 88 new homes in four sites:

  • 14 homes will be built on a site at Field Road, Wallasey
  • 14 at Kenilworth Gardens, Overchurch
  • 36 homes at Melrose/Thornridge, Moreton
  • 24 as phase two of the development at St Josephs Place, Birkenhead

Steve Eaves, assistant director of development for Magenta Living, said: "We already have the sites and now we have the funding to build 88 much needed homes. Magenta Living is always looking at ways it can develop more homes and we will continue to bid for funding as it becomes available."

Work is expected to begin on the first new homes in September.

Magenta Living owns and manages 12,000 homes across Wirral.
