MAG makes non-exec board hires

Manchester Airports Group has appointed two non-executive directors to expand its expertise in infrastructure and retail.

Civil engineer Cath Schefer has 27 years’ experience in the design, construction and management of large infrastructure projects. She is currently a senior executive with MWH Global and is director of the MHW UK operation.

Jon Wragg has more than thirty years’ experience in the retail sector including with Littlewoods and Asda and is currently responsible for the global e-commerce, wholesale and digital marketing functions of the FTSE 250-listed SuperGroup.

According to MAG, the appointments will support its two parallel goals; embarking on key infrastructure projects such as the £1bn Manchester Airport Transformation Programme, and developing its online and e-commerce offering as part of the newly established MAG Online business unit, led by Andrew Harrison, MAG’s chief strategy officer.

Sir Adrian Montague, chairman of MAG, said: “They have a wealth of relevant experience in areas that are key to the continued growth and success of the Manchester Airports Group and I am sure they will both make a significant contribution to the development of the group’s strategy looking forward.”
