MAG hires for asset management
MAG Property, the property and development arm of the airport operator, has appointed Emily Speak from Travis Perkins as asset manager.
Speak will be responsible for property management across MAG Property’s core portfolio at its Manchester and London Stansted airports, which includes airport properties such as lounges and ticket desks to staff and crew accommodation, including airside offices and engineering rooms.
Speak was at Travis Perkins for four years and was responsible for the North England, Scotland and Northern Ireland property portfolio.
Prior to this, she worked at JLL for five years in Manchester within the landlord and tenant department.
She joins two other former JLL colleagues at MAG; development advisor Adam White, who joined the group in September, and Julian Stott who joined as development manager in October.
David Fowlds, director of asset management, said: “Emily joins the Asset Management team at a really exciting time for MAG Property, and her knowledge and experience will be invaluable in relation to the management of our £623 million mixed-use commercial portfolio.
“MAG Property has aspirations to realise the full potential of the 5.67m sq ft property portfolio situated at key airport locations across the UK and Emily will provide valuable support at Manchester and London Stansted airports.”
MAG Property owns and manages a £623m mixed-use commercial portfolio and 1,000-acre land bank at Manchester, London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports. MAG Property manages MAG’s 50% investment in the £800m Airport City Manchester development in partnership with Beijing Construction and Engineering Group, Carillion and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
Good luck in the new role Emily!
