Acting on behalf of Macbryde Homes Manchester-based Hourigan Connolly has submitted a reserved matters application to Cheshire West & Chester Council for the final phases of residential development of a brownfield site off Cromwell Road to the south of Ellesmere Port town centre.
Outline planning permission was granted in 2012 for 427 homes across the wider site. Macbryde Homes now has control of the final phases of development and has submitted proposals for 171 new homes.

The site will play a key role in boosting the local economy and will make a significant contribution to delivering new homes at a time when the Government requires Councils to boost their supply of housing”.

The scheme will make a valuable contribution to the continued regeneration of Ellesmere Port and comprises a holistic approach to contributing to the existing neighbourhood. The proposals include areas of open space and an equipped play area as well as a new pedestrian crossing which will benefit both the future occupants of the new homes and existing residents.
