Macbryde starts on Mold homes

Work has begun on 59 homes at Plas Issa in Mold, Macbryde’s first project to be delivered in Flintshire for a number of years.

The 70,000 sq ft site is set to include a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhouses and three- and four-bedroom detached houses. It is located on Llys Gwynant in Bryn Y Baal.

Sales are to launch in September, while the show home will be ready in spring 2020.

The homes will be built from a mix of red brick with grey roof tiles to fit within the local context. The project also includes a landscaping scheme for gardens and a public open space with an equipped play area.

It is the first development to be delivered in Flintshire by Macbryde Homes in several years. The homes are expected to be purchased by first time buyers, young professionals, and growing families.

Along with Plas Issa, Macbryde Homes is upgrading bus stops in the surrounding area and is also giving £170,000 to Flintshire Council which is to be invested in primary education.

Gwyn Jones, managing director at Macbryde Homes, said: “The mix of homes that we’re building at our site in Bryn Y Baal will make a significant contribution towards delivery much-needed quality homes in the area. We’ve already received in excess of one hundred enquiries and anticipate this rapidly increasing now that work has started on site.”

The development has been designed, and will be built, by Macbryde’s internal architectural and contractual teams respectively.
