Lunya confirms Manchester opening

The Catalan-style deli, restaurant and tapas bar has agreed a deal with Barton Arcade owner Morgan Leahy to open its second outlet, following its success in Liverpool ONE.

Lunya managing director Peter Kinsella said the Manchester restaurant will trade from two combined former shop units fronting Deansgate over ground and first floors, with a mixture of deli counter, bar, casual dining and fine dining on the first floor.

The fit-out is due to begin shortly with the aim of starting to trade before Christmas.

This is the latest in a strong run of Spanish food and drink operators arriving in Manchester: El Gato Negro to 52 King Street, and Iberica in the Avenue, Spinningfields, among them.
