LSH wins lighthouse surveying contract

Lambert Smith Hampton has been instructed to value and survey 15 lighthouses along the English coastline on behalf of Trinity House, including the St Bees Lighthouse in Cumbria.

Trinity House is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

LSH won the contract for the valuation and survey of the lighthouses along the South Coast, West Country and Cumbria following a competitive tender.

In addition to the valuation of all sites, LSH will also assess the condition of all facilities, including site cottages and outbuildings, and prepare reports outlining maintenance plans to enable Trinity House to continue the proactive management of its property assets in the future.

Chris Perry, surveyor in the building consultancy team at LSH's Manchester office, will deliver the services on St Bees, constructed in 1718 and standing towards the south of the harbours of Maryport, Workington and Whitehaven.
