Lowry Hotel back on market

The owner of the Lowry Hotel has put it up for sale after little more than two years’ ownership. CBRE has been instructed as sole agent to find a buyer for the 165-room five-star hotel on the River Irwell between Salford and Manchester.

The Lowry was bought by an affiliate of Westmont Hospitality Group from Rocco Forte for a reported £45m in August 2014.

The hotel opened in 2001. Westmont has carried out an “extensive renovation and rebranding”, and the “hotel continues to outperform the market after a record year in 2016.”
