Lovell recruits land director

David Carmichael has joined partnership housing developer Lovell, based in Altrincham, as land director for the North West, North Wales and Scotland.

His newly-created role with Lovell, part of Morgan Sindall Group, will see him oversee land acquisition and work with the company’s partners to meet demand for new homes. He joins Lovell following a 13-year career with Keepmoat where he was group land and partnerships director and was also previously land and development director for Gleeson Regeneration and Homes.

Lovell managing director Steve Coleby said: “David is spearheading our ambitious land-buying programme across the North West of England, North Wales and Scotland. ensuring that we make the most of the substantial opportunities which exist for the business.

“He brings an outstanding industry record, a comprehensive knowledge of the market and extensive experience of partnership working to deliver business growth.”

Lovell expects to build more than 440 homes in the North West during 2019.
