Lovell progresses £22m Queens Park

Affordable housing developer Lovell Partnerships and Blackpool Council have submitted a planning application for 99 homes on an 11-acre site near to Blackpool North train station.

The proposals are for the second phase of development at Queens Park, off Stirling Road. Around 90 homes have already been built on land to the north of the site.

The latest stage will be made up of 81 houses and 18 flats.

Construction started on the council-owned estate in 2013, with the six-year project replacing five tower blocks and other existing homes with a total of 180 homes.

The development has been designed by Condy Lofthouse Architects.
