Lovell on site with next phase at Miles Platting

Affordable housing developer Lovell is on site with the next phase of development at Miles Platting in East Manchester.

Faraday Green consists of 85 plots which will contain a mixture of two, three and four bedroom homes. The development is expected to complete in 2018, with the homes available to purchase in May this year.

The Miles Platting project is a private finance initiative to refurbish and develop a 264-acre housing estate in East Manchester.

The works involve a five-year comprehensive refurbishment programme of 1,520 existing council houses and flats, in addition to the creation of 1,800 new-build family houses and apartments. The first phase of the new build development, Genr8, comprised of 53 units of two and three storey houses.

The development is being delivered through the Renaissance Consortium partnership, comprising of Lovell as developer, Adactus HA to manage the affordable housing, equity providers Morgan Sindall Investments, IIC and Adactus, and external funders Dexia.

Clare Noakes, regional sales manager for Lovell in the North West, said: "It's exciting to be part of such a huge regeneration project in East Manchester, an area that is enjoying ongoing investment. We look forward to making Platting Village the chosen destination for professionals, families and first time buyers looking for a stylish brand new home close to Manchester city centre."
