LJMU awards FM contract to Graham

Liverpool John Moores University has appointed property group Graham to run its £6.7m facilities management contract for the next five years.

The contract, awarded following an OJEU tender process, is for “hard” facilities management, covering building maintenance services including M&E, building fabric maintenance and grounds maintenance.

Changes to the scope of the services are possible due to future changes in the university estate, with the university saying ERDF-funded projects are a possibility. There is an option on the contract for a further two years.

Headquartered in Northern Ireland with 13 offices across the UK and Ireland, Graham is a £500m-pluls turnover multi-disciplinary property group, with divisions covering construction, asset management and project investment.

The business has worked on several higher education projects in the North West in recent years, being the main contractor on Liverpool Hope University’s health science building, handed over in December 2015.

It was also responsible for the refitting the University of Manchester’s Simon Building and delivered the £81m nine-block Peel Park Quarter student accommodation project for the University of Salford.
