Livingcity wins Media City contract

Manchester-based property manager The Livingcity Group has secured a management contract with Peel for two residential apartment buildings at Media City in Salford Quays.

The Livingcity Group said it will be providing a range of asset management services, including service charge administration, tenant care and liaison, maintenance and cleaning of the communal areas at TheHeart, containing 177 apartments, and NumberOne, which has 200 apartments.

The new contract was agreed following a two year consultancy period.

The contract follows the appointment of Livingcity to manage two buildings at the Eastbank development in Ancoats, east Manchester.

The firm was awarded the contract by Manchester Ship Canal Developments which is the joint venture company between Peel Land & Property and Manchester City Council.

Livingcity will now be looking after The Cube, a 33 apartment building completed last November, as well as The Mews which includes 29 townhouses and has an expected completion date of May 2011.

The value of both contracts was not disclosed.
