Livingcity embarks on building surveying push
Livingcity Asset Management, part of Manchester-based residential management company Livingcity Group, has launched a separate building surveying division called LcBC.
The team is headed by David Shaw, who joined a year ago from Appleyard & Trew to work on in-house building surveying at LCG.
He said: "As a business, Livingcity has a great reputation so I'm excited to now have the responsibility of growing the LcBC offering. My sole focus is on making sure it is embedded into the main business and actually adds value, whilst at the same time engaging with our existing clients."
LcBC provide services from contract administration and project management to individual guidance on construction design and management regulations. It also implements refurbishment schemes from inception to completion providing advice on design, planning and building regulation applications. The division also delivers RICS surveys to residential and commercial buildings – including mixed-use schemes – which incorporates planned maintenance surveys and feasibility studies and reports.
Nikki White, group operations director, said: "As a senior chartered building surveyor, David's experience enables Livingcity to now effectively offer a high quality building surveying function to our clients as a fully integrated service. This ability perfectly complements our core asset management team and it's great to see how responsive clients – both old and new – have already been."
