Liverpool’s First National pub for sale

Surveyor David Currie & Co has been appointed by Liverpool publican Tony Berry to sell the long leasehold of the First National pub on the corner of James Street and Fenwick Street in the city centre.

The site, close to Mann Island and Liverpool One, comprises 5,300 sq ft over ground, basement and mezzanine floors. The building comes with vacant possession and is held on a long leasehold from October 2001.

There is existing planning consent, gained in December 2008, for an internal refurbishment and extension of the mezzanine to seat 230 covers as a bar-and-grill type restaurant.

Karl Kiernan at David Currie & Co said offers in the region of £500,000 were invited for the property.

  • David Currie & Co recently relocated from Pall Mall in Liverpool city centre to nearby Hatton Garden taking the office formerly occupied by McInerney Homes, at 25 Hatton Garden.
