Liverpool recruits Gibbons as BID manager

Liverpool City Council has appointed Ged Gibbons as Business Improvement District manager to oversee all operations of the BID Company.

Gibbons was seconded from St Helens at the start of the year and held the position until a replacement was found, following the departure of Rita Waters.

Waters held the position for 18 months before she moved to Chester Renaissance.

During the recruitment process, Gibbons decided to apply for the £50,000-a-year post himself, which resulted in his recruitment.

Gibbons will now continue delivering the BID Company's business plan until 2013.
