Liverpool One launches Paradise in the Park

Grosvenor has unveiled plans to transform Chavasse Park in Liverpool One with an artificial beach set to host daytime and evening entertainment throughout the summer.

The developer and manager of the retail-led scheme will hold such activities as morning fitness classes on the 'beach' to mojito nights and volley ball. There will also be a fairground with crazy golf and inflatable slides, acoustic singer-songwriter sessions and even limbo competitions.

The summer events are the latest in a steady stream of activity at the £1bn development since it opened in 2008 aimed at driving footfall. There are regular fashion shows with catwalks down South John Street, food festivals on Paradise Street and the Strand was recently closed for the first Liverpool Pageant of Power, organised largely by Grosvenor.
