Liverpool calls for regeneration ideas
Liverpool's economic development company Liverpool Vision is inviting debate on the future of the city.
Its 'City Conversation' – part of the Strategic Investment Framework – will build on the Strategic Regeneration Framework of 2000 which contributed to the delivery of Liverpool One, the Arena and Convention Centre and the expansion of the commercial district into St Paul's Square.
Vision said it is focusing on six key sectors: Creative and digital, culture and visitor economy, property, financial & professional services, life sciences and residential neighbourhoods.
Jenny Douglas, head of area investment for Liverpool Vision, said: "It is now time to look forward and set ambitious, but deliverable, goals for the next 10 years. We are asking people from all over the city, and beyond to get involved.
"We recognise that the current economic circumstances dictate that deliverability of large scale projects is challenging. However that situation will change and it's vital that we are ready to respond, with a new vision of how we shape the future development of the city centre."

The SIF is expected to be finalised by spring 2012 and is being developed by a consortium headed by Drivers Jonas Deloitte and including Planit, Amion and Martin Stockley Associates.
