Marketing Liverpool, part of Liverpool Vision, has published the design brief for its £30,000 stand for MIPIM 2014, as it seeks to appoint the fit-out company to build the 500 sq ft exhibition space.
The stand will be situated in the Riviera Hall next to those for Tokyo, CBRE, and St Petersburg. The concept design for the Liverpool stand contains the slogan "Commerce, Connectivity, Creativity".
A paragraph on the back wall of the stand says: "We moved our city to re-imagine retail, by delivering Europe's most ambitious masterplan. Our wealth management sector is the UK's largest outside London. The smart money's on Liverpool. We're in the market for change. Commerce is in our blood."
Liverpool's private partners for MIPIM 2014 so far include Deloitte, Bruntwood, Brabners, Countryside and Grosvenor.
The city's presence at the global property convention is aimed at "showcasing Liverpool as a leading UK business destination and the host city for the International Festival for Business 2014," Marketing Liverpool said.
MIPIM 2014 runs from 10 to 14 March and is expected to attract 20,000 people from 80 countries, with more than 2,000 exhibitors in the main convention centre.
The stand-building contract is due to start later this month. Tenders will be evaluated using the following criteria: approach 20%; experience, capability and capacity 50%; value for money 30%.
