Lettings totalling 53,000 sq ft secured in Haydock

A furniture retailer and a paper supplier have signed to occupy 28,500 sq ft and 25,000 sq ft respectively at Boston Park in St Helens.

Both firms have agreed 10-year leases at the industrial estate off Junction 23 of the M6. One of the companies is Premier Paper Group, and Place North West has enquired as to the name of the furniture company.

Boston Park is owned by last-mile logistics real estate company, Mileway, which was represented by agencies JLL and B8RE in the lettings transactions.

Mileway is the logistics arm of property giant Blackstone Real Estate and was set up last year to manage around 96m sq ft of industrial assets across Europe.

Robert Kos, associate in the industrial and logistics team at JLL, said: “The industrial and logistics sector has performed well throughout the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. This duo of lettings confirms the continued strong demand for warehouses in prime locations.”

The occupiers were unrepresented in the transactions.
