Exchange Quay corridor

Lettings continue at Exchange Quay

Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers has let a further 13,000 sq ft at its Exchange Quay office complex in Salford Quays, taking the total lettings at the development to more than 100,000 sq ft in the past 12 months.

Global marketing agency, Gyro, personal injury claims firm ACH Group Management, and Kids Planet Day Nurseries are the latest occupiers to sign leases at the 433,637 sq ft Exchange Quay, which is spread across six office buildings.

Kids Planet has agreed a 25-year lease on 6,100 sq ft in Number 6, to run a 136-place day nursery.

Gyro has signed a new 10-year lease for 4,021 sq ft in Number 8, continuing on from a 20-year tenancy at the development. ACH Group Management, which includes Accident Claims Helpline, has agreed a five-year lease for 3,144 sq ft, also in Number 8.

Hunter completed a £10m investment programme at Exchange Quay last year, to upgrade the six office buildings to Grade A specification, in addition to remodelling the public realm and introducing occupier facilities.

Since the start of 2016, Space & Time Media has signed a 10-year lease for 3,156 sq ft in Number 8 at Exchange Quay, insurance firm 1st Central signed a 10-year lease on 10,838 sq ft of offices in Number 1 at Exchange Quay, and American multinational conglomerate corporation, 3M, has relocated 120 staff into a 12,500 sq ft suite at Number 8.

Jeremy Birkett-Jones, investment director at Hunter, said; “Exchange Quay has been given a whole new lease of life and it is fantastic to walk around the development and see how thriving it has become with our occupiers making full use of the new amenity offering. We are pleased to accommodate gyro and ACH Group Management at Exchange Quay as the lettings momentum shows no signs of slowing.”

Exchange Quay agents are Canning O’Neill and Savills.
