Letting is child’s play for Alliance

Property Alliance Group has signed Jellybeans Play Centre to a 14,000 sq ft unit at Widnes Trade Park.

Jellybeans signed a ten-year lease at a headline rent of £5.50/sq ft after Alliance gained planning permission from Halton council, the developer said. Other tenants at the park include Johnstones Paints, B&Q, Screwfix, Edmundson Electricals, Dulux Decorators Centre and Plumbing Trade Supplies. Only one unit of 6,000 sq ft remains.

Jellybeans set up its first play centre two years ago in Warrington. It receives over 800 visitors and holds over 20 children's parties a week. The new facility will be fitted out with a climbing wall, ride on cars and a bowling lane ahead of opening at the beginning of 2010.

Darren Shaw, director, Jellybean Play Centre, said: "Alliance's unit suited our requirements perfectly, with the large car park and location next to B&Q but also within easy access to the motorway and nearby major towns and cities, which will help attract lots of new visitors for us. We look forward to opening in the New Year and taking advantage of the opportunities the new retail and regeneration areas will offer us."

CBRE and Atlas Property Consultants are joint letting agents on the scheme.
