Lennon takes over at IBI

Seamus Lennon has been promoted to studio principal of IBI Group’s Manchester office, and will lead the Living+ practice nationally, an arm of the business which focuses on urban land, masterplanning, residential and mixed-use sectors.

Lennon has been a director with the firm since 2014, and previously worked for Sergison Bates and HawkinsBrown. He has led a number of cultural, care and residential projects, and is currently project director for the £180m The Glass Works leisure and retail project in Barnsley.

He takes over as studio principal from Neil Lewin, who has left IBI. Details of his new role are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Lennon said: “I am excited to be leading the growth of the Manchester office, at a stimulating time where an integrated and holistic approach coupled with the influence of technology in how we design, collaborate and work together is intrinsic to the way we help craft our communities.”
